Dear Members,
First we would like to start with a THANK YOU to all members who donated their time and resources this holiday season! With your support, we adopted five foster children and fulfilled their Holiday wishes.
We had a great turnout at the Mount Clemens Santa Parade and distributed Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
Join us on December 10th from 4 to 6 PM at 51341 Celeste, Shelby Twp., 48315, to wrap gifts for foster children. Let us know you're coming by clicking the link—it's always a fun event!

Nurses’ LBFO Vote Update—
-
The recent vote on the last best and final offer (LBFO) was overwhelmingly against it, with 87% voting down the proposal.
-
On December 1st, management responded that they would get back to us with possible dates.
-
Our Bargaining Team has responded with open dates in December to help expedite the process.
-
Service Group Negotiations—
-
Because of our union's determination to align our members' pay with that of the SG in surrounding hospitals, we’ve made significant progress, and members should see the increase reflected effectively on November 30th. We firmly believe that the current compensation remains below industry standards, and we are committed to engaging in ongoing negotiations to reach a mutually agreeable arrangement.
-
Our Service Group continues to negotiate with the hospital.
-
We met in November to discuss ongoing issues and are scheduled to meet again on Monday, December 8th.
-
We are awaiting a response from the hospital following our previous negotiation session.
-
NLRB Report and Moving Toward Complaints—
-
The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has reported that they are looking forward to moving forward with cases against the hospital.
-
Some charges currently filed against the hospital may be escalated to formal complaints.
-
Moving to complaint means that the NLRB has found enough evidence or significant issues to formally investigate the allegations. This can lead to a legal process where the case is formally heard, and potential remedies or orders can be issued to address unfair labor practices.
-
This step is part of the process toward ensuring that union rights are protected and violations are addressed appropriately.
-
Dues Payment Reminder-
-
Management has stopped deducting union dues for the Nurses and Service Group.
-
It is essential to monitor your Unionly invoices and keep dues current to maintain voting rights and attendance at meetings.
-
If dues are overdue, your ability to vote and participate in meetings will be affected.
-
Remember our dues are calculated by a percentage. With the recent pay increase, this will reflect a higher dues amount.
-
