Negotiations with the hospital are still scheduled for Tuesday, February 3. Additional days and times were provided to the hospital but have not yet been agreed upon. We will keep you updated if any additional dates are agreed upon.
STRIKE SCHOOL
Strike School sessions will be held in a hybrid format via Zoom and at the Local 40 office on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 12:00 noon and again at 4:00 pm. These sessions are for Strike School members to receive strike preparation, ask questions, and sign up for shifts. This will also be the time for members to sign up for different roles we will need on the line to make sure our strike line runs efficiently.

STRIKE PAY
Following a ULP indefinite strike vote, OPEIU International has provided our local with a strike stipend to support strike resources. The stipend will be monitored and reassessed on a biweekly basis. Strike pay is set to start at a max of $125.00 per day, with a maximum of $500.00 per week. Members are required to walk to line to receive strike pay. Sign-up is required. We need to make sure we hold a solid strike line!
