The good news: Henry Ford is following the law and deducting January dues on Friday! No new invoices will go out from Unionly!
The bad news: Surprising to no one, the Hospital didn’t get the dues correct. They deducted incorrect amounts. They deducted from people who did not give authorization to do so. Incorrect deductions for pay and initiation fees were not authorized by the Union. The Hospital admitted that they do not have authorization to deduct from people unless they have valid forms on file.
Union leadership spent many hours over the weekend preparing a comprehensive spreadsheet of new wages and new dues amounts. Ford still did not program them correctly. Due to the holidays, the payroll couldn’t be changed today and we will again have to audit and correct them in January. We apologize for any hardship or confusion that has come from the Hospital’s error and we are holding the Hospital accountable to fixing their errors.
If dues are deducted Friday and you did not give authorization, the Union will issue a refund or apply overages to coming months. Please reply to this message, text Danielle at 248-894-7256 or email danielle.local40@gmail.com and we can discuss your options.
IMPORTANT: Unpaid invoices will remain active in Unionly until Monday January 5th at 9am. Any unpaid invoices beyond that time will be deducted from the Full-Time/Part Time bonuses before they are paid out no later than January 30th.
